Timely applications

Semester 1 (February) entry: 30 November*
Semester 2 (July) entry: 31 May

*For most courses. Some Graduate Schools will accept applications for Semester 1, 2011 from July 2010. Individual courses that accept early applications will provide rolling offers. Each eligible course will list closing dates and approximate processing times. Confirm closing dates with your graduate school.

Late applications

Applications submitted after these dates will be accepted for most courses, depending on the availability of places.

Commonwealth supported places (where available) may not be available if you submit a late application.

Please confirm application closing dates with admissions staff in the relevant graduate school.

Applications for some courses offered by the graduate schools and departments listed below have different application closing dates:

Art, music and performing arts | Faculty of VCA and Music

Dental Science | Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences
Law | Melbourne Law School
Psychology | Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences

For international graduate students

Application closing dates

Semester 1 entry: 31 October (for commencement in February of the following year)
Semester 2 entry: 30 April (for commencement in July)

Before submitting applications for the following courses please confirm the closing date with the relevant faculty or graduate school.

Graduate Dental Science, Medicine, Physiotherapy coursework programs: See the Faculty website

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine: 20 December

Late applications may be accepted in special circumstances, however students are advised to apply as early as possible to avoid visa delays.

Scholarships

As an international applicant, you are strongly encouraged to submit your application, including all of the required documents, by the application closing dates. This will enable the application to be considered for a greater range and number of scholarships. Closing dates may vary according to the course for which the applicant is applying. You should confirm the course application closing date with the relevant faculty.
