Scholarships for domestic undergraduate students
The University has a range of scholarships available to domestic undergraduate students.
Chancellor’s Scholars Program
The Chancellor's Scholars Program incorporates the Melbourne National Scholarship (see below) and the Melbourne Global Scholars Award, as well as a guaranteed entry pathway into any professional masters by coursework degree at the University. Find out more about the Chancellor's Scholars Program.
Melbourne National Scholarships
The Melbourne National Scholarships provides a HECS exempt Commonwealth Supported Place valued up to approximately $30,000 and a $15,000 allowance ($30,000 for interstate students) over the normal duration of an undergraduate degree (excluding honours). Interstate Year 12 and IB students also receive one return flight home during their degree. Find out more about the Melbourne National Scholarships.
Melbourne Access Scholarships
Melbourne Access Scholarships provide an allowance of up to $13,500 for the normal duration of an undergraduate degree (excluding honours) for students
applying through Access Melbourne.
Melbourne National Equity Scholarships
Melbourne National Equity Scholarships provides a HECS-exempt Commonwealth Supported Place values up to approximately $30,500 and a $15,000 allowance for the normal duration of an undergraduate degree. These scholarships are available to certain students applying through Access Melbourne.
Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Relocation Allowance
The Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Relocation Allowance offers a $2,500 relocation allowance for interstate or rural Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars.
Mildura Alumni Scholarships
The Mildura Alumni Scholarships, available to students from the Mildura region, provides up to $20,000 allowance for the normal duration of an undergraduate degree, including honours. These scholarships are available to certain students applying through Access Melbourne.
Sir Samuel Wadham Rural Students Scholarship
The Sir Samuel Wadham Rural Scholarship offers a $5,000 annual payment for the normal duration of the course, subject to satisfying academic progress requirements.
Eleanor and Joseph Wertheim Scholarships
The Eleanor and Joseph Wertheim Scholarships offers an annual allowance of $20,000 to female students aged over 25 in financial need.
Indigenous Commonwealth Scholarships
Various Indigenous Commonwealth Scholarships are available for Indigenous students to assist with education and accommodation costs.
Indigenous Scholarships Program
The University's Murrup Barak Melbourne Institute administers the Indigenous Scholarships Program, providing various scholarships, bursaries, assistance with living costs and general grants.
Other scholarships
