Graduate Future students

After you lodge your application for a graduate course

Information for local students

Timelines

Once the University receives your paper application form or, if you submitted an online application, a signed declaration with supporting documentation, in most cases we will issue an acknowledgement letter or send you an email to let you know we received your application.

You will also be advised if we require any further information from you (for example academic transcripts).

If your application is complete and no further information is required, then your application will be assessed by graduate school admissions staff. Applications for graduate coursework programs take approximately 3-4 weeks to assess (this may vary depending on the course you are applying for).

Applications for the Master of Teaching submitted through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) follow VTAC application timelines.

Offer process

Successful applicants will receive an unconditional or conditional offer. A copy of the offer letter will be sent to you. You will also receive information about accepting your offer.

If you have been sent an unconditional offer, you can go ahead and accept your offer. If the offer is conditional, then you need to meet the conditions of your offer before accepting the offer. You can decline or defer your offer at any stage of the offer.
Unsuccessful applicants will receive a letter posted to you in the mail.

How do I track the progress of my application?

Applicants can contact the relevant graduate school admissions staff at any time to check the status of their application.
