Scholarships, grants and sponsorship

There are a number of options for European students seeking financial aid to attend study at the University.

UK and Ireland

  • Menzies Centre Scholarships
  • The government of Scotland is aiming to increase the number of Scottish students studying abroad by introducing a grants scheme to support overseas study. Based on the outcome of a feasibility study, a pilot portable student support scheme will be set up from the academic year 2010/11.

English language requirements

European students may satisfy the University's English language requirements if they satisfy one of a number of conditions.

Visas

European countries vary from student visa sub-class 1 (Western Europe) to student visa sub-class 2 or 3 (for example, Latvia or Turkey). You can find out the assessment level of your country at the Department of Immigration and Citizenship. International students from level 3 and 4 countries require a pre-visa assessment from the Department before they can accept their offer.
