English language support for BECAS Chile award holders
The University of Melbourne and Hawthorn-Melbourne will meet the full cost of the fees for The University of Melbourne English Language Bridging Program (UMELBP) for those BECAS holders who have not met the University's English language requirements but are eligible for the UMELBP program. To obtain this support a BECAS holder must have a conditional offer to the University of Melbourne which meets all conditions of entry except the English Language requirement. A BECAS holder must meet the English Language requirements of the UMELBP program.
This agreement is in place for all applications submitted before 23 December 2014.
The UMELBP program does not apply to all graduate schools and courses at the University. It has been specially designed to meet the English Language requirements of some graduate school programs. Details of the graduate schools that permit students to undertake the program are listed at the Hawthorn-Melbourne page for UMELBP.
Students who undertake the UMELBP program with 'English Language Support' but who then fail to meet the English language requirements at the end of the program will be responsible for any further fees involved in order to meet the English language requirements.
