Selection

Selection for the Extension Program takes place from late December to early January and is coordinated by the Office of Admissions in conjunction with academic staff.

In cases where eligibility is unclear, the application will be sent to academic staff for consideration.

For the purpose of selection into the University of Melbourne Extension Program, the key of results to the right is used.

Note: Applicants for French, Hebrew, German, and Physics may be required to attend an interview and/or sit a test in early December. Music applicants may be required to attend an audition between late November and early December. Applicants will be advised of these arrangements closer to the time.

Enrolment

If you are successful, you will be sent an email containing your letter of offer and other enrolment information in mid-January. You will be required to accept your offer and enrol online. You will be able to access the web site and enrol from anywhere in the world.

Enrolment process

Here is an overview of the process of accepting your offer and enrolment:

  1. Accept your offer and complete the administrative part of your enrolment online

  2. Attend Welcome Day on campus in late January to receive further information about the Extension Program, to become familiar with the Parkville campus, to collect your University of Melbourne student card, and to meet fellow Extension Program students

  3. Attend classes when they commence at the start of the University semester, or as advised by your School Centre.
