Timelines
Once the University receives your application and supporting documentation, we will issue you with an acknowledgement letter, usually within two days of receiving your application. Your acknowledgement letter will be emailed or faxed directly to you, or to your nominated authorised representative. If you have not provided a fax number or email address in your application, we will send your acknowledgement letter to you by mail. Please don't forget to allow time for this letter to reach your country by standard post.
Your acknowledgement letter will provide you with your unique application number. Please quote your application number in all correspondence with the University. We will also advise you if we require any further information or documentation from you in order to assess your application.
If your application is complete and we do not require any further information then your application will be assessed. The approximate timelines for assessment are:
- Undergraduate course — 2 weeks
- Graduate coursework — 4 weeks
- Graduate research — 6 weeks
The application will be assessed by either faculty staff or International Admissions staff depending on the course and whether you want to be considered for credit transfer.
Offer process
Successful applicants will receive an unconditional or conditional offer. A copy of your offer letter will be emailed or faxed either directly to you or to your nominated authorised representative. In addition, the original copy of your offer letter will be mailed to you in an Offer Package. You will receive important information in your offer package, such as:
- A welcome newsletter;
- Offer and Acceptance information;
- International Students’ Information guide;
- Housing guide;
- Tuition fee schedule; and
- Enrolment and Orientation information.
If you have been sent an unconditional offer, you can go ahead and accept your offer. If the offer is conditional, then you need to meet the conditions of your offer before accepting the offer. You can decline or defer at any stage of the offer.
Unsuccessful applications will receive a letter by fax or email explaining why the application has been unsuccessful. An original copy of your letter will also be mailed to you.
