Financial aid for Canadian students
General information
Government student loans are available to eligible students studying outside of Canada, based on demonstrated financial need. You may be eligible for a provincial student loan, such as the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) or British Columbia Student Assistance Program (BCSAP), as well as a loan from the federal government through the Canada Student Loans Program.
Note for Newly Enrolling Students:
Before the University of Melbourne can certify documentation to assist with the approval of your loan, your offer must be unconditional and you should have completed and returned your Payment and Acceptance Agreement form which you will find in your offer package or at accepting your offer.
You should include a deposit of AUD$10,000.00 and payment for your compulsory overseas health cover.
Please allow at least 3 working days for the completion of any documentation requiring certification.
