US Constitution Day 17 September
In 2004 president George W. Bush signed the law that designates September 17 as Constitution Day in the United States. September 17 was chosen for the celebration because delegates to the US Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign and adapt the United States Constitution on that date in 1787. On 17 September US students are encouraged to visit the Constitutional Archives.
