Scholarships available through the University

The Melbourne Scholarships Program - one of the largest and most comprehensive in Australia - supports around 3000 high-achieving students at the University, including undergraduate and graduate, local and international, Indigenous, and those enrolled in access and equity programs.

Scholarships available through the Australian Government and AusAid

Australian Scholarships is an initiative of the Australian Government to promote education cooperation and development in the Asia-Pacific region. The total value of Australian Scholarships over the five years from 1 July 2006 will be A$1.4 billion.

AusAID

As part of the Australian Scholarships scheme the Australian Government through AusAID offers a substantial number of Australian Development Scholarships to students from developing countries.

 

Other scholarships

The University also welcomes and enrols students whose study is supported by other scholarship programs. Students should outline the financial support they will obtain and their obligations under these scholarship programs when applying to the University. Arrangements can be made to invoice scholarship providers direct for tuition fees.

If reporting on a student's progress is required, a letter consenting to the release of information to the scholarship provider must be signed by the student. For further information, contact International Student Services.
