Access Melbourne and Equity Programs
At the University of Melbourne, we’re committed to providing education opportunities for students from a range of backgrounds. We have a number of programs that are designed to increase the number of disadvantaged students enrolling at Melbourne.
We see your potential. We'll help you achieve it.
The final years of high school can be a challenge at the best of times. For some students, circumstances can make it even more difficult, and can actually prevent you from achieving the best possible ATAR.
Access Melbourne, the University’s special entry access scheme, can help you gain entry to the undergraduate course of your choice – even if your ATAR is below the Clearly-in Rank. You may even be eligible for guaranteed entry or a scholarship.
The University’s access and equity program for graduate students, this program can help you gain a place in the course of your choice – and you may even be eligible for a bursary.
Have you experienced short-term hardship that has affected your performance in Year 11 or 12? You might be eligible for special consideration.
If you’re looking to return to study as a mature-age applicant or non-school leaver, we offer a number of pathway options.
