How to apply for advanced standing

Domestic students/applicants

Graduate

Your eligibility for advanced standing will automatically be assessed with your course application.  You may be asked to provide further information and detail about the studies you have completed, or are expected to complete, to help with this assessment.

Undergraduate

Eligibility for advanced standing is not considered automatically – you need to apply for it online using your student login. If you don’t have a login, you can set one up via Get Started at Melbourne.

Apply for advanced standing

Applying for advanced standing does not guarantee that it will be granted. Our team of staff will assess your application and notify you of the outcome via your student email.

Dates for domestic undergraduate applications

You are strongly encouraged to submit your application for advanced standing as soon as possible after you have received a course offer.  We aim to send outcomes by the start of the semester for complete applications submitted by:

Midnight Tuesday 18 July 2017 for Semester 2.

Late applications may be accepted until the end of the first week of semester in order to receive an outcome by the end of the second week of semester. Applications received after these deadlines will be actioned but any advanced standing received cannot be applied in the current semester.

Note that your application for advanced standing will not be assessed until you have received an offer for the related course.

International students/applicants
