Essential requirements for admission

All applicants must attend an audition.

Prerequisites:

VCE Units 3 and 4 (or equivalent): A study score of at least 25 in English/English Language/Literature or at least 30 in EAL.

Admission criteria

Applicants with higher education study

Once the course application is submitted applicants must pay an additional administration fee and submit a supplementary application form. All applicants must audition, either live or recorded.

Applicants who satisfy these requirements will be assessed to ensure they meet the minimum entry requirements of the University – completion of the VCE or a qualification deemed by the University to be equivalent and meeting the University’s English language requirement. Once these academic requirements have been satisfied applicants are ranked according to the audition.

Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study

How to apply

Domestic

Domestic students apply for undergraduate courses through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). Once the course application is submitted applications must pay an additional administration fee and submit a supplementary application form.

VTAC applications for this course close earlier than usual. The timely closing date is 5.00pm (AEST) 28 September 2017. No late applications will be accepted.

International

International students who are studying Year 12 in Australia or who are current University of Melbourne international students apply for undergraduate courses through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). Once the course application is submitted applications must pay an additional administration fee and submit a supplementary application form.

All other international students apply online directly to the University.

Advanced standing (credit)

Advanced standing (sometimes known as credit or recognition of prior learning) may be awarded based on prior study.
