Other graduate course guarantees without an ATAR requirement

These guaranteed entry pathways are based on academic performance in your undergraduate degree, and are not subject to any ATAR requirement.

Who is eligible?

The following guaranteed entry pathways into graduate study are available to domestic and international students who complete an Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma in Australia. Eligible students must enrol in a University of Melbourne undergraduate degree immediately following Year 12, or be granted a deferral by the University. Unless otherwise indicated, students must satisfy course prerequisites in their undergraduate degree. Students who have transferred from another university are not eligible for a guaranteed entry pathway.

  • Arts

    • Master of Cultural Materials Conservation (200 point program)

      Students who complete an undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne and achieve a weighted average mark of 70%. Australian fee place (for domestic students) or international fee place.

      Please note: It is strongly recommended that all commencing students have studied chemistry equivalent to 25 points of first year university subjects or complete the Chemistry Bridging Course offered in February each year.

      Students who complete an undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne and achieve a weighted average mark of 70%. Australian fee place (for domestic students) or international fee place.

  • Business and Economics

    • Master of Actuarial Science

      Who is eligible? What is guaranteed?
      Students who complete an undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne and achieve a weighted average mark of 75%. Commonwealth Supported Place (for domestic students) or international fee place.

      Please note: An undergraduate degree with the equivalent of a major in mathematically based subjects is required.

    • Master of Management (Accounting)

      Students who complete an undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne and achieve a weighted average mark of 75%. Commonwealth Supported Place (for domestic students) or international fee place.

      Please note: Applicants eligible for guaranteed entry will not be required to submit a personal statement.

      Students who complete an undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne and achieve a weighted average mark of 70% in the final two years. Australian fee place (for domestic students) or international fee place.

      Please note: Undergraduate degree must be in a cognate discipline or with at least 25 points in chemistry, or biology, or mathematics or statistics.
