Careers Practitioners Seminar 2017
Careers practitioners, VCE, curriculum and international student coordinators are invited to attend a one day seminar program held at the University's Parkville campus in the heart of Melbourne.
Mirroring the successful program format adopted last year, participants will attend the same morning information sessions (including key note speaker, admissions update & faculty updates) in a single venue so no choice needs to be made between equally appealing presentations.
A course expo will be available at several times throughout the day to accommodate those teachers only attending for part of the program and to provide plenty of opportunity for more personalised interaction with faculty representatives.
After lunch the Faculty of Arts will showcase it’s object based learning facilities in the new Arts West building through the following optional interactive sessions:
- Shakespeare 400: A unique take on Shakespeare through the use of VR headsets.
- Exploring the Collections in the Object Labs: Offering a tangible sense of the Faculty of Arts’ cultural and historical collections.
- Learn a language in 30 minutes: Showcases the broad scope of language studies available with particular focus on the Diploma in Languages.
- Anthropology – Discovering Human Diversity: Learn about the exciting role of object-based learning in exploring past civilisations.
The Seminar offers a wonderful opportunity to learn more about course developments, teaching resources and student experiences at the University of Melbourne and we look forward to welcoming you on campus later this month.
