Recently launched by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, the Padho Pardesh scheme will provide interest subsidies to meritorious students belonging to the section of the notified minority communities, so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education abroad and enhance their employability. The notified minority communities in India include the Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Jain & Buddhist.
