Are you a sponsored student?
Many of the University of Melbourne's international students are sponsored by a range of organisations and government bodies from various countries and industries. We know it’s important for sponsors and your students to have easy access to tailored information about the University and we have developed this online resource to ensure you stay up to date and can access resources easily.
When you apply to the University you are asked to indicate on your application form if you are externally sponsored. If so, your application is prioritised through the Admissions system to ensure smooth and rapid processing. You are also not required to pay the application fee, please follow instructions for a fee waiver in the online application.
Many of our sponsored students are undertaking graduate research. The Melbourne School of Graduate Research is an important source of information for prospective students as well as providing support throughout your studies.
The University has a range of services to support you during your time here. When you are enrolled, Stop 1 is your first point of contact for advice regarding course planning, ongoing enrollment, pathways to future employment. Advisers can assist you with queries about academic progress and life on campus, as well as study abroad, exchange, volunteering and community engagement opportunities.
Connect with other students
To make the most out of your experience at Melbourne you should try to connect with as many students as possible, from your own country or region but also from other parts of the world. Join clubs through the student union or your own faculty.
